Ugh!

So, here it is the last day in July and I suck at keeping this thing updated. My apologies. The recent news in the Grove is that Mr M was admitted to the hospital early this past Sunday morning, around 1am with stroke like qualities. he just came home today. he did, indeed, have a small stroke. Part of his vision is affected, but not overly so, words are a just a little blurry. His right side was affected. His grip in his right hand isn't what it use to be but is stronger than it was. His right leg is also somewhat weak, but all these things the doctor feels will eventually revert to normal.

Some of you may be wondering why I haven't been answering my cellphone. I've either been sleeping, in the hospital or playing WoW (to relax and forget my worries for a small bit of time), yes, I have succumbed to the game of World of Warcraft and I love it. In any case, Mr M is on two new medications in addition to his regular stuff. All the testing the V.A should have done, is finally done and it's going to cost them alot more since they decided to take their sweet ass time and do it themselves. What Mr and I thought would happened, came to pass, only we got lucky, it wasn't a severe stroke but it could have been. When I got him into the ER his blood pressure was 50/40. Yeah, you read that right. They pushed fluids into him via IV. It was a long Saturday night (or Sunday morning however you look at it) but he's home now.

Oh yeah and Troll moved back home.

That is all.

Into A Hot, Hot, July

The highest temp it's been this past week is 115 degrees. Right now? It's 111.9 degrees. The fires that spawned during the last thunderstorm are still burning up here, There were 158 but some of them have merged. it's still early into the fire season and already things are blazing out of control, that's scary.

Daughter and the kids are with Troll in Oregon and will be there for a couple more weeks. The high there? About 90 degrees. -snicker- The natives are melting, personally, I'd call it a vacation.

Nothing new with Mr. M's health, but -knock wood- he hasn't had another one of those episodes lately. Hopefully, the new medication is what is holding those at bay.

I have a doctor's appointment on the 16th so I'm hoping she'll be pleased, especially with my weight. All my clothes definitely show I've lost considerably. I'm just praying my A1C is good too. I'll be surprised if it isn't.

So, that's it for the grove. Nothing really happening around here worth mentioning. Just trying to stay cool. Hope everyone had a safe and good fourth. It was quiet as it was just Mr M and myself and each of us was off doing our own thing.
